World Wi-Fi Day is a unique global initiative, organized by the Wireless Broadband Alliance under the leadership of Connected City Advisory Board (CCAB), to help bridge the digital divide.
The main goal of World Wi-Fi Day is to recognize and celebrate Wi-Fi as a key player to ‘connect the unconnected’ in cities and communities around the world.
We are honored that our project with Gruppo FS Italiane, the Italian State Railways Group, was included among the case studies of successful Wi-Fi developments in urban and rural areas.
Gruppo FS Italiane set about devising project Wi-Life Station to offer visitors a better digital experience inside their stations, while at the same time, collecting valuable information about these visitors and their behavior. Wi-Life Station aimed to redesign the concept of the station, embracing the idea of a smart station in a smart city offering an appealing digital experience in the physical space.
