Cloud4Wi is proud to have been selected as guest WiFi solution provider for the recent Sustainable Energy Technology Conference Asia (SETA 2018) conference at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) from March 21-23. Working with Cat Telecom Public Company Ltd. (CAT) – the state-owned company that runs Thailand’s international telecommunications infrastructure – and Easy Network – a leading value added distributor in Thailand – we provided WiFi services to conference attendees.
The three-day event featured high-level dialogues between government agencies, giants from the private sector and other stakeholders who deliberated on topics ranging from policies and their impact to emerging sustainable energy alternatives.
Highlights enhancing the content and direction of SETA were a multi-streamed conference as well as an exhibition which comprised over 100 companies who showcased innovative solutions to spearhead sustainable energy, including
SETA 2018 also discussed cutting-edge technologies for safe, affordable and practical solutions for sustainable energy. It was kicked-off by a CEO Energy Forum, a high-level discourse on collaborative initiatives between the private and government sectors.
Together, Cloud4Wi, CAT, and Easy Networks offered free WiFi access to conference attendees. The WiFi network included 15 access points from Ruckus Wireless, covering 9,600 sq.m exhibition featured pavilions and serving over 1,200 attendees at the conference.
By leveraging Cloud4Wi’s product suite, CAT was able to gather in-depth insights into WiFi usage. The average time spent online was three hours. Facebook was by far the most popular – 78 percent of WiFi users – login option selected. Android was the most popular – 53 percent of WiFi users – operating system that connected to the network. 30% of WiFi users were aged 25-34, and 70% of WiFi users were male.
