NetMob 2017 took place at Vodafone Theatre in Milan, Italy, from April 5-7. This conference focused on how the availability of mobile phone datasets have opened possibilities to improve our understanding of how humans communicate, socialize, move around cities, mobilize and more. NetMob is the primary conference for the analysis of those datasets in social, urban, societal and industrial problems.

NetMob consists of a track of short contributed talks selected from a submission process, and the possibility to present recent results or results submitted elsewhere. We are very proud of Fabio Pinelli, Senior Data Scientist at Cloud4Wi, who submitted his paper, “Inferring customer visitors by means of WiFi” and was chosen to give an oral presentation at NetMob.
