IPIN 2016: Cloud4Wi submitting a paper on “WiFi probes as digital crumbs for crowd localization.”

Locating devices in indoor environments has become a key issue for many emerging location-based applications (LBA) in different fields. This strategic topic is expected to lead technological innovations of great impact on the daily activities of people in the coming years, in areas such as health and independent living, leisure, security, etc.

Since the first edition, IPIN, the International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation, has been an excellent forum to bring together researchers, developers and service providers in positioning and indoor navigation. The IPIN 2016 edition will be held at the University of Alcalá, Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Spain on October 4-7.

Cloud4Wi is proud to submit a paper to IPIN on “WiFi probes as digital crumbs for crowd localization.”  The authors include Emilia Traficante from Cloud4Wi and Francesco Potortì, Antonino Crivello, Michele Girolami, and Paolo Barsocchi from CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche). The paper will be presented on October 6th 2016 from 10:30 am–12:30 pm.
