Dreamforce 2018, which began Monday, September 24th, could not have opened on a more sparkling, sunny Autumn day in San Francisco. The city is excited again to host “the world’s largest No Profit Conference” as Federico Della Casa, Salesforce Italia’s Country Leader, dubbed it in their official Italian booklet guide.
And with the recent opening of the Salesforce Tower, Marc Benioff’s annual Fall Dreamforce event, which attracts companies from all over the world, has really taken off. More than 200,000 people are expected to join Dreamforce 2018 to attend lectures, presentations and talks from renowned international opinion leaders, experts from every industry, and visionaries.
The Dreamforce Innovation Tour–Italy is already walking across the streets of San Francisco through events, workshops and meetings, starting early in the day.
The firsthand learning tour officially began at 10am Monday in the Cloud4Wi headquarters, when the Consul General of Italy, Lorenzo Ortona, took to the stage to welcome a delegation of more than 50 global Italian companies and top brands.
Ortona—after having quickly presented Italy’s tech system in the Silicon Valley—praised the “outstanding and exceptional efforts of Cloud4Wi’s co-founder and CEO Andrea Calcagno in leading the company from an Italian startup to a global organization, with clients spanning every time zone.”
Every Italian brand’s representative eagerly took a seat, ready to participate in the Ted Talk-like presentation, designed by the newly appointed Chief Evangelist, Mauro Aprile Zanetti, who emceed the conference in conjunction with CEO Andrea Calcagno. Dreamforce Innovation Tour participants were completely inspired by Calcagno’s very insightful vision about the future of retailers.
