We are excited to partner with Javits Center to deliver memorable experiences to guests in their iconic location.

What’s the Javits Center?

Designed by I.M. Pei & Partners, the Javits Center opened in 1986 and has since become New York City’s primary venue for large conventions, trade shows and special events and serves as home to many of the world’s top 250 trade shows, hosting millions of visitors a year.

These large-scale events have generated more than $ 2 billion in annual economic activity for New York City and New York State, supporting as many as 18,000 jobs in and around the facility.

The Javits Center has more that 850,000 square feet of total exhibition space, two new floors of meeting room and pre-function spaces and a wide range of catering, security, sustainability, and technology services.

How does Cloud4Wi power the Javits Center?

Cloud4Wi enables Javits Center to deliver memorable experiences to guests in its location, personalizing interactions with them through our location services platform. Simply put, Cloud4Wi supercharges Javits Center’s pre-existing CISCO WiFi infrastructure, streamlining WiFi management to provide more reliable digital services.

Cloud4Wi simplifies the process of creating and deploying custom captive portal for each event taking place at the Javits Center. Each captive portal will be consistent with the look and feel of the specific event and can support multiple languages – allowing guests to comfortably take advantage of the services offered and quickly go online.

Cloud4Wi has become a trusted advisor that helps Javits Center maximize the results by proactively offering strategic support, user experience expertise, and industry best practices.

What’s next?

To enhance the on-site guest experience, Javits Center is currently exploring the adoption of Passpoint technology and the WBA OpenRoaming framework. This would enable them to offer seamless, secure connectivity to their guests without the need for manual intervention.

Additionally, Javits Center is considering monetizing their WiFi services by providing advertising opportunities to event sponsors. These sponsors could promote their presence through banners, advertising pages, or videos displayed to guests during the WiFi onboarding process.

What Javits Center says

“With Cloud4Wi, we will be able to tailor the WiFi experience for each event,” said Tim Gaburungyi, CIO at Javits Center. “We were impressed by all the different customizations available, and the outstanding professional services offered. This makes our job significantly easier,” he added.

What this means for us

“We are honored to have been selected by Javits Center as technology partner on this challenging project.” Andrea Calcagno, CEO and Co-Founder at Cloud4Wi said. “We are able to provide Javits with the tools and services they need to offer an easy-to-use, personalized guest WiFi, redesigning compelling guest experiences” he said.
