Future of Privacy Forum
The Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) is a Washington, DC based think tank that seeks to advance responsible data practices. The forum includes an advisory board comprised of leading figures from industry, academia, law and advocacy groups. They facilitate discussions with privacy advocates, industry leaders, regulators, legislators and international representatives, to inform their Advisory Board and their organizations and to exchange views.
Founded in 2003, the aim of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) is to secure an outstanding user experience through the global deployment of next generation Wi-Fi. In order to make this a reality, the WBA is currently championing various initiatives in the Wi-Fi ecosystem including Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) trials, Wi-Fi Roaming and its Interoperability Compliance Program (ICP).
The U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework provides guidance for U.S. organizations on how to provide adequate protection for personal data from the EU as required by the European Union’s Directive on Data Protection. The organizations on this list have notified the Department of Commerce that they adhere to the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework developed by the Department of Commerce in coordination with the European Commission.
